Auckland's warm, humid climate suits a wide range of household pests β cockroaches, fleas, flies, spiders, silverfish, mosquitoes and bedbugs are all common in residential properties across the region. We price by pest type, because different pests need different products and different treatment approaches. Our technician handles the interior and exterior areas relevant to your pest in a single visit β you don't choose which areas are covered, the right treatment goes to the right place.
Qualified & certified: All Grime Busters pest technicians hold a current NZ Controlled Pesticide Handler Certificate, as required under the HSNO Act for commercial pesticide application.
How We Treat
Each pest type requires a specific treatment approach β the products used for cockroaches are different from those used for fleas, and the application areas differ too. Our technicians assess the property on arrival, confirm the scope matches what was booked, and then treat all relevant interior and exterior areas in a single visit. You don't direct the treatment β your technician knows where to apply based on pest type, property layout, and observed activity.
We use products that are registered for residential use in New Zealand under the HSNO Act and applied only by current Controlled Pesticide Handler Certificate holders. Every treatment comes with a 4-week callback guarantee: if you see the same pest activity return within four weeks, we come back and assess at no charge. Pest activity tends to drop within 48β72 hours of treatment, and most infestations are fully resolved in a single visit.
How Pricing Works
Fixed prices for the three most common pest categories β flies/spiders/mosquitoes, fleas/silverfish/bedbugs, and cockroaches. Pricing is by property size: up to 3 bedrooms, or 4β5+ bedrooms. Ants and full multi-pest treatments are quoted individually because the extent varies significantly between properties.
Before Your Treatment
- Clear access to kitchen cupboards and under sinks (for cockroach treatment)
- Vacuum thoroughly before a flea treatment β this helps stimulate eggs to hatch before we arrive
- Keep pets and children away from treated areas for 2β4 hours after treatment, or until surfaces are dry
Prices confirmed May 2026. All prices include GST and are all-inclusive β no hidden charges.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does treatment take?
Most single-pest treatments for a 3-bedroom home take 45β75 minutes. Your technician will advise on arrival.
Is the treatment safe for kids and pets?
All products are registered for residential use in New Zealand. Keep children and pets off treated surfaces for 2β4 hours. Your technician will confirm specific precautions based on the products used.
Do I need to leave the house?
No β stay out of the room being treated while the technician is working. For some products a short absence afterwards is recommended; your technician will advise on the day.
What if pests come back?
Most treatments provide lasting protection. If you see activity return within 4 weeks, contact us and we'll assess whether a follow-up is needed at no charge.
Should I get my carpets cleaned after a flea treatment?
Yes β we recommend booking a carpet clean after treatment to remove flea eggs and debris from carpet fibres. Hot water extraction reaches the base of the pile where eggs settle.
Which pest type should I select?
Select the pest you can identify. If you're seeing multiple types or aren't sure, choose Full Treatment and we'll assess on arrival and confirm the scope before starting.
